At the weekend I went shopping, mainly to collect some orders too only end up returning them after trying them on in the changing room! I popped into Next, Boots, Topshop and Primark and my lovely mum treated me to some things and I had a boots gift card from Christmas, so I thought I’d share the items I bought!
The first item I picked up was the Rimmel Stay Matte Pressed Powder , I fancied trying this powder again as I loved it in the past, but I have been using my Maybelline Fit Me powder for a long time now, I am always hearing good things about this powder so I thought I would rekindle my love with it, best thing is, it’s really inexpensive!
The second product I bought was the Revlon Powder Blush in the shade mauvelous , I really like the colour of this it’s just a really natural pretty pinky, peach colour with a hint of mauve and I love Revlon products, their always such good quality.
I then picked up the Maybelline Brow Drama Sculpting Mascara, I’ve always wanted an eyebrow gel to set my eye brows, so I thought I would give this one a go, I got the shade medium brown and its the perfect colour for my eyebrows. I’ve only used this once and I’m not sure how I feel about the wand as it has a thin wand with a ball on the end and I do find it a bit awkward to apply but it did set my brows in place and leave them looking fuller.
I then bought the St Ives Blemish Fighting Facial Scrub, I recently featured the invigorating version of this facial scrub in my skin care wish list which you can find HERE. As my skin isn’t very clear at the moment I bought the blemish fighting one instead, they were on offer for 2 for £8!
Last but not least I picked up two face masks one was the Montagne Jeunesse Mud Pac Dead Sea and the other was the Montagne Jeunesse Cucumber Anti Stress Peel Off Masque, I love these face masks, they are product I’ve always bought, they leave your skin feeling soft and refreshed, and at £1 each you can’t go wrong!
I will apologise now for the dodgy photos and hanging skills!
This first item is this Mesh Shoulder Panel Top from Next, its just a plain basic black top, with 3/4 length sleeves and a mesh detailing on the shoulders. Basic tops are always a must have and I really like the fit of this top, I like the fact this has the mesh detailing making it a bit more interesting and its so comfortable and casual. I think I may have to buy this in some other colours, I’m thinking sage or citron, something a bit more spring appropriate!
The next item I got is a Blog Slogan T-Shirt, again from Next, my mum found this and thought it would be perfect for me considering I have a blog, so it was bought as a bit of laugh but it does fit really nicely and you can’t go wrong with a white t-shirt, the writing on this is silver foil and I like that parts of the letters are filled in.
I recently made a hole in my favourite Topshop denim look leggings, I was gutted so I picked up another pair in a different colour these are the Washed Denim Look Leggings. They don’t look half as good hung on a hanger as they do on, there just a lovely fit, there super comfortable and I think this light wash colour is perfect for spring!
Another item from Topshop and its this Burn Out Spot Tee, this just caught my eye, polka dots are really on trend this spring and I think there extra cute. I like that this top is sheer so you can where a cami top underneath or just a white bra if your feeling daring, I think sheer tops are really flattering and again I like that its white and perfect for spring.
This next item is a bit random but I really needed something I could keep all the little bits and bobs I want to carry around in my handbag in. I saw this faux leather makeup pouch? or pencil-case? with a gold zip by the till in Topshop and thought it would be perfect, to put lipsticks, mini perfumes, hand cream and all that necessary stuff inside it. Its long so it doesn’t take up too much room and its the perfect length so I can keep a comb or back combing brush inside it as I have a full fringe I find it needs a quick brush throughout the day so it doesn’t go ‘gappy’. There’s a lot more space than it looks, and in side its got Topshops signature scribble look polka dots, I can’t find this on the website so I can’t link to it sorry!
Last but not least I bought a basic burgundy cardigan with pockets from Primark, mainly to wear with things such as the sheer polka dot tee from Topshop, its nice and light weight so it will still be wearable when the weather gets a bit warmer. This was originally £9 down to £7, bargain!
So that concludes my haul, I hope you guys had a good weekend,
