For those of you that have yet to discover the world of beauty boxes, there are various different beauty boxes on the market and the company I am going to be talking about is Birchbox! it’s basically a beauty box where you pay £10 + P&P every month and in return you receive a box with 6 sample and full size products! I love the surprise of not knowing what you’re going to get, although I often do spoil the surprise and look at the spoilers before I receive the box, bit eager! The other great thing about Birchbox is the fact they have a shop on their website, so if you enjoy a product in your box, you can easily purchase the item, without having to search the web for the brand and where to buy it.

So here is what I received in this months box!

Color Club Gala’s Gems Nail Polish – retails at £15 for set of 4

I am all for a good nail polish, so I was very happy that I received this product. It’s in the shade               ‘Breakfast At…’ which can I just say I love the name. It’s a lovely pearlescent mint green which is perfect for spring. I have plenty of normal mint shades that I wear them all the time, so its nice to have something with a bit of a different finish, it seemed to apply nicely when I used it, although I do find light pearlescent colours show any mistakes and brush strokes! Hopefully it will last a long time on the nails. The sheen of this polish doesn’t show up very well in the photo above and its coming up a little bit darker than in real life. This product reminds me of the new Barry M silk nail polishes, All in all this product is a winner with me!

Campos De Ibza Almendra Body Milk 38ml – retails at £16.55

I never get that excited over body lotions in beauty boxes but this is quite a generous sample and has a lovely almondy scent. I used a little bit on my hands earlier and it did leave them smelling lovely, it is a very thin consistency but that’s to be expected as it’s a body milk. I think this will be a nice light moisturiser for during the summer, although I do prefer thicker body lotions.

Yes To Cucumbers Facial Wipes – travel size, 10 wipes, Retails at £4.99

I was quite excited when I saw I received these, I know there pretty common in America but in the UK this is a brand I don’t see much of. They do a variety of products such as ‘Yes To Carrots’, ‘Yes To Blueberries’ and ‘Yes To Tomatoes’ the names and packaging always seem to intrigue and appeal to me. Wipes are one of those handy things to have, although I try to avoid taking my make-up off with wipes and using a cleanser instead, I do like to use them to remove the majority of my eye make-up before cleansing. I have recently run out of wipes so these came at a good time and I am looking forward to trying this brand out.

Lifestyle Extra: Propercorn Sweet Coconut & Vanilla – Retails at 90p

I really like that Birchbox add in a lifestyle item. I am very familiar with this brand of popcorn already, I am obsessed with the Sweet & Salty and Fiery Worcester Sauce And Sun-Dried Tomato flavours. This is a mini version of the normal sized bags but its in a completely new flavour I have never seen before and I am pretty excited to try this. I love how these taste, the fact there low in calories and the fact there not in huge bags like most popcorn because we all know that ends with the whole bag being eaten!

The Balm Cosmetics How ‘Bout Them Apples?’ Cheek & Lip Cream – Retails at £26 for palette

Another brand I am familiar with, I already have the ‘theBalm Mary Lou Manizer Luminizer’ which I love, so I am excited to try some more of their products out. I love the packaging it’s very similar to benefit’s packaging and I also love the quirky names of their products. I think this will be lovely in the summer with a tan, cream products are perfect applied to the cheeks for a healthy dewy flush, also applied to the lips and you’re good to go! I got the shade ‘Pie’ which is a bright corally red shade. This would be perfect for travelling as its so mini and compact!

Lord & Berry Coture Kohl Kajal Eye Pencil – Retails at £10

Eye-liners are something I seem to receive in beauty boxes a lot, so I don’t feel overly excited by them. But I’m all for trying new things to find the best, so could this be it? I will have to find out! It’s black which is perfect because it goes with all make-up looks and is easy to work with!

All in all I really liked this months box, my favourite items I received and I am most excited about trying are the Colour Club Nail Varnish, theBalm Blush & Lip Cream, Yes To Cucumber Facial Wipes and The Propercorn! If your quick you could still get yourself an April box, all items mentioned can be found in Birchbox’s shop!

If you received an April Birchbox, let me know in the comments what you received and are most looking forward to trying!
