May 2014 Birchbox Review

Another month another Birchbox, yay! If you haven’t heard of Birchbox already head on over to their website and find out more HERE! This month Birchbox teamed up with Harper’s Bazaar to create this beautiful box and fill it with hand picked beauty goodies for us and, let me just say I loved this months box and all the products inside!  all All the products I talk about will be linked to Birchbox’s very own shop, where you can buy products featured in your box, pretty handy!

Keep reading to find out what received, apologies for the photo quality the lighting wasn’t ideal, blame the rain!

For those of you who have used Birchbox before you will know that their boxes are usually a natural, rustic cardboard box, but limited edition boxes packaging is usually different! I love the pattern and colours on this box, it’s so summary and exotic!

BEAUTY PROTECTOR PROTECT & SHAMPOO Full Size £14.00 + BEAUTY PROTECTOR PROTECT & CONDITION Full Size £14.00

I was quite happy to be receiving these two samples as I am currently using a Shampoo and Conditioner that, I feel like I might be allergic to. I like that these samples are in bottles rather than sachet’s, its pretty hard squeezing product out of a slippery sachet and with these you get more than one use! This is shampoo and conditioner is to help product your hair against heat and heal the damage that’s already been done, which is perfect for me and its also sulphate free! I’ve already used this once and so far I really like it, its got a nice sweet kind of smell and my hair feels lovely and soft!

AROMATHERAPY ASSOCIATES RELAX LIGHT BATH & SHOWER Full Size £39.00

I was quite excited for this product as I’ve always wanted to try a bath and shower oil as I’ve heard they make your skin feel lovely and are really relaxing. This product can be applied all over your body before you get in the shower or popped into your bath for you to soak in. It contains lots of relaxing ingredients such as Lavender, Ylang-Ylang and Petitgrain! I like that this product comes in a little glass bottle, again its just easier to use and store than a sachet! Looking forward to trying this in a bath after a stressful day!

SOIGNÉ CREME AU BEURRE NAIL LACQUER Full Size £11.00

I have really been impressed with the nail polish shades I’ve received in my Birch boxes in the past and this didn’t disappoint. It’s a very pretty natural nude. I have never heard of this brand before so I’m looking forward to trying this out on my nails. This is a full size product which is always lovely to receive!

LIZ EARLE BEAUTY CO CLEANSE & POLISH Full Size £13.25

I have used this cleanser before and it’s a really lovely product, I think my skin was bad at the time because of the amount of junk food I was eating, so I’m looking forward to giving this another go. Again I think its a really generous size, you can give it a fair trial as you only need a pea sized amount, so this sample will last a while! It also comes with a muslin cloth to remove it with and a little leaflet that tells you about the cleanser and how to use it!

BENEFIT THEY’RE REAL! MASCARA Full Size £19.50

This is a favourite amongst so many YouTuber’s and bloggers so I was very happy to receive this, I love receiving Benefit samples, because there is so many of their products I want to try but haven’t splurged on yet. I have tried a sample of this mascara before and I must say I was really impressed, it does make your eyelashes super long and voluminous. Again you can really give this sample a good trial run, as sample mascara’s always last quite a long time! I will be keeping this in my make up stash for when my current mascara runs out!

As you can tell there wasn’t a product I wasn’t pleased to receive this month, its a massive thumbs up from me. I keep getting more and more impressed, with Birchbox’s generous sample sizes and choices of brands and products, there definitely my favourite beauty box at the moment!
