This week I thought I would share with you my current go to make up look that I have been doing day-to-day when going out and about. Next week I will be sharing my go to make up look for when I’m not going out or feeling lazy but still want to wear a little make up to perk my self up. So stay tuned for that.
Before applying any make up to my face I apply my moisturiser and a lip balm to prep my face and lips. Next I apply the MAC Prep & Prime Skin Base Visage to smooth out everything and also help my make up last longer. This feels so lovely on the skin, it doesn’t feel to heavy and slippery like some primers I’ve tried, where I feel like my make up is going to slide of my skin. Next with my Real Techniques Buffing Brush I apply MAC Studio Fix Fluid Foundation in NC15 all over my face. I then take my Real Techniques Deluxe Crease Brush and apply the Collection 2000 Lasting Perfection Concealer in the shade Warm/Medium over any blemishes and under my eyes although since using Studio Fix foundation I haven’t needed to use too much concealer.
Next I move on to my brows where I apply the waxy side of my Sleek Brow Kit in the shade Dark with an Angled Eco Tools Brush, this is a great dupe for the Benefit Brow Zing! To set my brows in place and give a more natural by excentuating the hairs of my brows, I apply Benefit Gimme Brow Gel over the top in the shade Light/ Medium, you can see a full review of this product HERE. On to the eyes, I recently purchased the Benefit They’re Real Push Up Liner, so I have been enjoying just doing winged eyeliner with no eye shadow. Before applying my eye liner I apply a tiny amount of Urban Decay Primer Potion, just to prime my eye lids and help the eyeliner apply smoothly and last longer. I’m still getting to grips with the concept of benefits new eyeliner, but so far I quite like it, I will review it soon.
Time set my foundation and concealer in place and take away any shine with my MAC Mineralize Skin Finish in the shade Medium, which I clearly forgot to photograph above (oops), I do this with my Real Techniques Powder Brush. I love how light this powder feels on the skin but still has some coverage. Then its on to contour and blush. I use my Real Techniques Contour Brush to contour and bronze my face using the Bourjois Chocolate Bronzer, this slims my face and warms my complexion up. Then I take my new blush obsession MAC Mineralize Blush in the shade New Romance and lightly apply it just above where I’ve contoured with my Real Techniques Blush Brush. This shade is gorgeous, the picture doesn’t do it justice and because its mineralized it gives a natural healthy glow to your cheeks.
The last two things I apply are mascara and lipstick. I am currently in love with the Benefit they’re Real Mascara, it makes my eyelashes so full and long, I will also do a full review on this product soon! Last but not least one of my favourite make up products, lipstick. I like to keep my lips quite simple when I’ve gone bigger on the eyes for a day-to-day look, I love this Revlon Lip Butter in the shade Peach Parfait, it’s such a lovely natural colour, it’s so easy to apply over your lips and it’s super moiturisering.
This is my current favorite make up look, whats one of your favourite make up items you’ve been wearing recently?
