Christmas Stocking Fillers For Him

stocking fillers blog post

Its time for my second stocking filler gift guide this time for HIM, if you didn’t already check out my stocking fillers for her, you can read that HERE. Is it just me or are males very difficult to buy for? I have managed to put together some items all  £10 and under which I think would be perfect to pop into a stocking for your dad, brother, son, boyfriend or whoever that male is you’re struggling to think up present ideas for. He might think he’s too manly for a little stocking full of goodies but I don’t think he will be disappointed. Remember if you see something you like, get it quick, things are selling fast!!

1.  Who doesn’t want warm toasty hands in gloves and be able to use a touch screen phone with no hassle?! I chose these plain and simple touch screen gloves from ASOS!

2. For the boy who loves beer, the beer in my picture above is a Desperado, but you can choose a favourite beer of his!

3. What would a stocking filler gift guide be without including some socks, this pack of 3 thermal socks are from Tesco!

4. For the boy on the go, a Thermos Mug with a lid. I picked this travel mug because it’s not a big ugly flask and also not too girly like a lot of travel cups around.

5. Now I know a lot of males can be against using skin care items but if its bought for them there more likely to use it. This is the L’Oreal Men Expert Hydra Energetic X-Treme Black Charcoal Face Wash, perfect to cleanse away daily impurities and dirt leaving the face feeling squeaky clean. For after cleansing is the L’Oreal Men Expert Hydra Energetic Quenching Gel, I think this is perfect for men, its hydrating but also shine free!

6. For the male whose room doesn’t smell as good as it could. You may be thinking a candle, for a male?! but this is the Yankee Candle in the scent Midsummers Night, which smells just like a mens aftershave!

7.  Beanies and bobble hats are perfect stocking fillers, on trend and practical, this one is from H&M for an affordable price of £7.99!

8. Sweets, who doesn’t like sweets? You can swap these up for that persons personal favourite, but these are ‘Belly Flops’ by jellybelly. They are basically a 1kg bag of mix match flavour jelly beans. They are a cheaper price because they’re reject jelly beans (different sizes, flavours and shapes etc). 20p over budget but a good deal none the less!

9. For the boy who loves beer and baking. A Beer Bread Kit, with all the dry ingredients in this cute little sack like bag, all that you need to add is beer! There is a choice in flavours, its quick, easy and probably quite tasty.

10. Shower gel is always needed and I love Orignal Source shower gels. They have a range of scents including a mens range, I decided to include the coconut scent. I think coconut is a fairly  uni sex scent, men always get bought the classics such as Lynx, Addis and other scents so why not mix it up. Lets be honest coconut smells delicious.

11.  Perfect to go with the shower gel a Lynx Man Washer Body Tool. Not only do these help shower gel lather up, which means easier washing they also exfoliate without using a scrub, fuss free!

12. This little gadget is a Grip Strip, it grips to surfaces like your dash-board using no magnets or sticky things. It stops things like your phone, keys, sunglasses or whatever else you want to prevent from falling off and sliding around your car. Pretty handy!

I hope you like the stocking fillers I picked for men, let me know in the comments what you’re buying for a male in your life this Christmas?

Merry Christmas,

Christmas Stocking Fillers For Her

I really enjoy searching online for bits I think are perfect to pop into a little stocking. I think stockings are such a lovely way to give someone a couple of presents whatever your age! I wanted to keep everything £10 and under so you can create a stocking full of goodies at a more affordable price! This year I have decided to do stocking fillers ‘for her’ which is this post you’re reading and stocking fillers ‘for him’ which will be my next post, so keep your eyes peeled for that!  Hurry and get shopping if you see something someone you know might like or fancy adding on your Christmas list, things are selling out fast!

Lush: Calorie Free Easter Presents

Calorie Free Easter Presents

Being on a diet during Easter is torture. Chocolate bunny’s and eggs everywhere you go , resisting them is hard enough let alone being given one for a present and trying to have some self-control and not devour the whole thing right there and then! Have no fear there are some indulgent bath products from none other than Lush and you won’t need to worry about your waist line. It’s no secret I love Lush products and the whole of this years Easter range excites me greatly, I have yet to try any of them but I definitely will be! I think they would be perfect presents to treat yourself or someone else to. Whether you’re trying to watch your weight, don’t enjoy chocolate (what is wrong with you?) or just fancy giving or trying something different this Easter. Warning – be prepared for the over use of the word cute!

Lets just talk about how cute this little guy is. Lush based this off the white rabbit from Alice And Wonderland and I am a sucker for anything cute and pretty so this gets my vote! This is a bubble bar so you crumble it under the tap and it fills your bath with bubbles. The scent of this  bunny is sweet fair trade vanilla with the same smell as Lush’s Creamy Candy bubble bar, so if you like sweet indulgent smells, this is for you! It contains shea butter and cocoa butter so it produces skin softening and nourishing bubbles, leaving you smelling sweet and feeling smooth like chocolate without the calories! Not only that it’s filled with pretty blue corn flowers that are left floating in your bath and its eyes and tail are little sweets ( I wouldn’t recommend eating them)!

Fluffy Egg

This is a bright pink, sweet and girlie egg-shaped bath bomb with a sugar flower for decoration. It got its name ‘fluffy egg’ from having the same scent as an old lush favourite product named ‘Candy Fluff’ hence ‘Fluffy Egg’! The smell of this is very reminiscent of the Snow Fairy scent and the Candy Mountain bubble bar from the Christmas range. It smells of sweets, bubblegum, candy floss and all that good stuff. Its fizzes around your bath leaving you with bright candy pink water and smelling good enough to eat.

Golden Egg

This gorgeous egg with a golden lustre finish is a bath melt AND a bath bomb rolled into one. If you are a fan of the famous ‘Honey I Washed The Kids’ scent you will love this, it’s a sweet honey and toffee fragrance! When you pop this in the bath the outer shell which contains nourishing cocoa butter will melt in the bath, then the middle will begin to fizz, leaving you smelling sweet and your bath water with a golden shimmer!

The Immaculate Eggception – Yellow & The Immaculate Eggception – Pink

This bath bomb is a fun one, you can choose your colour yellow or pink as they both do the exact same thing! Shake it and you will hear something inside and even at the age of 19 that makes me want to find out what it is.  You have to crack it the large egg open to reveal either a chick or bunny rabbit inside, hence the name ‘Eggception’ which I like might I add. It has a light zesty lemon scent and it also contains grapefruit oil and fair trade vanilla absolute! Pop this into your bath and it will begin to turn your bath water pink, yellow and orange, Lush says “As it fizzes away, the vibrant colours will begin to unfurl, painting a sunset over the water’s surface” sounds good to me!

This soap is in the shape of a carrot but smells like tropical juice. It gets its fruity smell from buchu, lemon and bergamot essential oils! Each slice of the soap has a white leaping rabbit through the centre, which is a little bit cute! The orange outside of this soap is packed with moisturising carrot seed oil whilst the white centre is full of nourishing fair trade cocoa butter.

Bunch Of Carrots

This bunch of carrots are reusable bubble bars, hold a carrot from its green stalk and swish the carrot around in your  bath or break a piece off and you will have a bath full of bubbles! This may look like something the Easter bunny himself may want to eat, but it has the same tropical scent as the ‘Carrot’ soap mentioned above.

Carrot – Gift Set

Feeling generous this Easter? These products comes in cute packaging that looks like a carrot and contains a chunk of the carrot soap, a bunch of carrots and a golden egg. You or the person that receives this will be very bath prepared and smelling sweet and fruity for spring (not that they don’t already of course!)

Funny Bunny – Gift Set

Another cute gift set, this time presented in a bunny rabbit knot-wrap, with a cardboard sphere inside containing 2 sweet bunny’s, a bunch of carrots and a fluffy egg, what more could you want!

Have you tried any of Lush’s Easter range?

If you have Let me know in the comments what your favourite product is!

I hope you all have a lovely Easter

Random December Favourites.

Heres some of my favourite things that aren’t beauty related from December.

I am in love with these fawn ornaments, I have a slight obsession with fawns at the moment and have been looking for some fawn ornaments for my room for ages! Believe it or not I found these in Tesco, for the bargain price of £1.50 each!!! Shocked? I was.  I think they are so cute and such a cute little touch for my bedroom.

I got these Yankee Candle gift sets for Christmas from my lovely mum, I love Yankee Candles I think there one of the few candles that really fill your whole room with their scent. They are packaged like little houses and I think they are so cute, you get 12 sampler candles in different scents in each set, so I now have 24 candles. One of the sets has more Christmas fresh smells and the other is more sweet, foody smells both are great. You can get these from QVC and they contain some of the American scents we can’t get hold of in the UK!

As you probably know Tartan has been very on trend this winter. I had been looking for a nice tartan scarf for ages, and I finally found one in Asda! It’s really nice quality, a good size and the best thing is that it didn’t break the bank!

As well as an obsession with woodland animals, I also have a bit of a thing for elephants. This necklace is from a jewellery shop where I live called Volcano, they do some really lovely unique pieces of jewellery in this shop and a lot of its one off’s or there’s only a few of the item, its probably my favourite jewlerry shop ever. I think this necklace is so cute and simple, it has little stones called Marcasite in the elephant’s body and it wasn’t to expensive at about £29.

Meet my fluffy microwavable elephant from TK Maxx, which I still need to name! This is another Christmas present and its the softest thing ever, you take its little wheat bag out of its pouch in its tummy and pop it in the microwave for a couple of minuets and then you can snuggle up to a warm cuddly elephant ( I am 19 honestly). It’s also really good to put on stomach when you have stomach aches or to put on any aches and pains you have and it has a relaxing smell of lavender.

A lot of presents cropping up in this post, but again this was a Christmas present and I have been wanting this perfume for ages! It’s the Victor & Rolf Flower Bomb perfume, rather pricey but smells amazing. I am really rubbish at describing scents, but its a very girlie, pretty, floral with a bit of sweetness to it, find out more about this perfumes scent HERE.
